Quality Control & Diamond Certification

Quality Control & Diamond Certification

In B2B diamond supply, quality consistency makes or breaks your business. When your customer examines a diamond you sold them, they're judging you — not your supplier. Every stone that ships inconsistent with your order erodes trust that took years to build.

Yuda Crystal's quality control system ensures every gem diamond matches the grade you ordered — batch after batch, order after order. From rough diamond screening to final IGI certification, each stone passes through five checkpoints before it reaches your hands. With 10+ years in the lab grown diamond industry and IGI-certified Type IIa diamonds, we make quality a guarantee — not a gamble.

Our 5-Step Quality Control Process

1
Rough Diamond Screening — Before cutting begins, every rough HPHT diamond is pre-graded for color and clarity potential. Only crystals that meet minimum thresholds proceed. Stones that don't make the cut are reclassified for industrial use. This first checkpoint eliminates quality issues at the source.
2
Cutting & Polishing Review — After cutting and polishing, each stone is inspected for cut precision, symmetry, proportions, and surface finish. Stones that don't meet target specifications are re-cut or reclassified. This step ensures every diamond heading toward certification already meets our internal standards.
3
In-House Pre-Grading — Internal gemologists evaluate the 4Cs (Carat, Cut, Color, Clarity) against your order specifications. Stones that match target grades proceed to IGI for independent verification. Any discrepancies are flagged and resolved before certification — not after.
4
IGI Independent Certification — Every gem diamond is submitted to the International Gemological Institute (IGI) for third-party grading. The IGI report provides an independent, internationally recognized verification of each diamond's 4Cs. A unique laser-inscribed report number on the diamond's girdle ensures permanent traceability.
5
Final QC & Secure Packaging — Returned IGI certificates are cross-checked against your order specifications one final time. Each diamond is cleaned, matched to its certificate, sealed in tamper-evident packaging, and prepared for insured shipment. You receive every diamond with its IGI certificate — organized, documented, and ready for your customer. Chat on WhatsApp   Ask about our QC standards on WhatsApp

Understanding IGI Diamond Certification

The IGI (International Gemological Institute) is one of the world's leading independent diamond grading laboratories. Every gem-quality lab grown diamond we supply is accompanied by an IGI grading report that provides objective, third-party verification of quality.

Independent Verification

IGI graders have no stake in the sale. Their report confirms or challenges our internal grading. Only stones that pass both our pre-grading and IGI's independent review reach your shipment.

The 4Cs Verified

Carat (weight), Cut (craftsmanship and proportions), Color (D-Z scale), and Clarity (internal and external characteristics). Each C is independently assessed and documented in the IGI report.

Laser Inscription Traceability

IGI inscribes each certified diamond's girdle with its unique report number — visible under 10x magnification. This permanent link between the physical stone and its certificate protects you and your customers.

All IGI grading reports include detailed 4Cs assessments, plotted clarity characteristics, and exact measurements. The report number is permanently laser-inscribed on the diamond's girdle for complete traceability from our hands to your customer's.

Type IIa: The Purest Diamond Grade

All Yuda Crystal gem-quality lab grown diamonds are Type IIa — the chemically purest classification of diamond. Type IIa diamonds contain no measurable nitrogen or boron impurities in their crystal lattice, giving them exceptional optical transparency.

Less than 2% of mined diamonds are Type IIa. Among famous Type IIa diamonds are the Cullinan Diamond and the Koh-i-Noor — the world's most celebrated stones. In the lab grown diamond industry, Type IIa is the benchmark for premium quality.

Why Type IIa Matters for B2B Buyers:

  • Superior brilliance and fire due to absence of light-scattering impurities
  • Consistent performance across all lighting conditions
  • No fluorescence issues that can affect lower-grade natural diamonds
  • Objectively verifiable through spectroscopic testing
Type IaContains nitrogen clusters. 98% of natural diamonds.
Type IIaNo measurable impurities. Chemically purest. Our standard.
Type IIbContains boron. Blue-tinted. Extremely rare.
