Yellow vs. Green Diamond Powder

Yellow diamond powder contains higher levels of nitrogen impurities, which result in greater crystal toughness and impact resistance. It is the preferred choice for heavy-duty grinding applications where the abrasive is subjected to high mechanical loads — such as metal-bond grinding wheels for stone processing and saw blade segments for concrete cutting.

Green diamond powder has lower impurity content and a more friable crystal structure. It fractures more readily under stress, continuously exposing fresh, sharp cutting edges.
